This house is a vision device. A system that rules the way the inhabitant sees the outside world and simultaneously frames the way the outside sees the dwellers. The design of this object was focused on this theme. The big curved window is this statement vortex, it creates a visual path that, like a camera traveling, reveal the image of the landscape. Save this picture! The programmatic development of the house reflects the classic bourgeois organization promoting the clear division of rest areas leisure areas and work areas. This division creates tree limbs that are united by this design morphing that develop the two big windows of the living room. Save this picture! The idea of landscape as an image and its importance in the domestic living were the main design focus of this scheme.Project gallerySee allShow less3rd Advanced Architecture Contest, The Self-Sufficient CityArticlesUniversity of Melbourne Announces Winners / John Wardle Architects + Office dAArticles Share Y House / Jorge Sousa SantosSave this projectSaveY House / Jorge Sousa Santos CopyHouses•Óbidos, Portugal Year:  2006 Save this picture!+ 25 Share Houses Architects: Jorge Sousa Santos Year Completion year of this architecture project “COPY” ShareFacebookTwitterPinterestWhatsappMailOrhttps://www.archdaily.com/33867/y-house-jorge-sousa-santos Clipboard Portugal CopyAbout this officeJorge Sousa SantosOfficeFollowProductsWoodGlassConcrete#TagsProjectsBuilt ProjectsSelected ProjectsResidential ArchitectureHousesÓbidosHousesPortugalPublished on September 04, 2009Cite: “Y House / Jorge Sousa Santos” 04 Sep 2009.
