In the first heat, New Caledonia’s Adrien Kela finished first with 2min:01.58s ahead of PNG’s Kaminiel Matlaun who clocked 2:02.12s. Third placing saw Loius Ligerot from French Polynesia with a timing of 2:02.41s.Heat two went to Fiji’s Anasa Kaito with a time of 2:00.91s. Second was PNG’s Martin Orovo with 2:01.61s and in third place Moses Ohai’ihi from Solomon Islands with a time of 2:01.61s.The top 8 who have qualified are: Anasa Kaito, Adrien Kela, Martin Orovo, Kaminiel Matlaun, Moses Ohai’ihi, Loius Ligerot, Gregory Bradai (French Polynesia) and Samson Laus (Vanuatu).
